Signum Feat. Scott Mac
Coming On Strong

Listening notes

Released in 1999 on Netrecord-Z, "Coming On Strong" by Signum feat. Scott Mac carries the catalog number NZ 001, marking it as the label's inaugural release. The record sits across the genres of Electronic, Hard House, Hard Trance, and Trance, and arrives in vinyl format.

The release is structured across what the tracklist positions suggest is a double or triple disc package. Six versions of the track appear in total, spread across four sides. The A-side opens with the Original Mix at eight minutes, followed by a DJ Jürgen Remix running seven minutes and seventeen seconds. The B-side carries a single entry, the Pulsedriver Remix at six minutes and fifty-four seconds. The C-side holds the Green Court Remix at seven minutes and thirty seconds. The D-side closes the release with two tracks: a Bobellow Remix at eight minutes and seventeen seconds, and a DJ Tiesto Remix at six minutes and thirty-nine seconds.

The tracklist brings together a notable collection of remixers. DJ Tiesto, whose name would become widely recognized in electronic music in the years following this release, contributes one of the six versions here. DJ Jürgen, Pulsedriver, Green Court, and Bobellow round out the remix roster, each offering their own interpretation of the source material.

As catalog number NZ 001, the release holds a straightforward historical distinction as the first item issued under the Netrecord-Z imprint. The generous run of remixes, totaling over fifty minutes of music across the six versions, reflects a format common to club-oriented vinyl releases of the late 1990s, where extended mixes were standard currency for DJs working dancefloors of the period.
