Sorry We Play Vinyl 1

Listening notes

Sorry We Play Vinyl 1 is a 2025 vinyl release issued on the Sorry We Play Vinyl label, carrying the catalog number VRW01. The record presents three tracks across its two sides: Edit1 on the A-side, and Edit2 and Edit3 on the B-side. The release falls within the electronic and house genres.

The naming conventions at work here are worth noting for collectors and catalogers. The artist name, label name, and release title are all identical — Sorry We Play Vinyl — a deliberate conflation that positions this record as something of a statement of intent as much as a conventional release. Whether that reflects a DJ-focused ethos, an anonymous or collective working method, or simply a preference for letting the music stand without additional context, the structure of the release itself does not clarify.

The track titles — Edit1, Edit2, Edit3 — follow a similarly functional approach, foregoing descriptive or evocative naming in favor of plain sequential labeling. This is a practice with precedent in club-oriented music, where edits of existing material are sometimes circulated without extensive documentation, though the verified facts here do not confirm whether these tracks are edits in that traditional sense or simply titled as such.

As the catalog number VRW01 suggests, this appears to be the first release under the Sorry We Play Vinyl imprint, making it the opening entry in whatever series or body of work the label intends to build. Duration information for the individual tracks is not available in the current record.
