Sunn O)))
ØØ Void

Listening notes

Sunn O)))'s ØØ Void was released on vinyl in 2003 through Dirter Promotions, catalogued as DPROMDLP52. The record spans four sides across two discs, with each track occupying a full side — a structural choice that gives the album a total runtime of just under an hour.

The tracklist opens with "Richard" on the A-side at fourteen minutes and thirty-two seconds, followed by "NN O)))" on the B-side at fifteen minutes and sixteen seconds. The C-side carries "Rabbits' Revenge" at fourteen minutes and one second, and the album closes with "Ra At Dusk" on the D-side at fourteen minutes and forty-three seconds. The four tracks are categorized under doom metal, drone, electronic, noise, and rock — a range of genre tags that reflects the difficulty of placing the band's work within a single tradition.

The decision to press the album across four sides means each composition has uninterrupted room to develop without the physical constraints that a single-disc format would impose. No track runs shorter than fourteen minutes, and none runs longer than roughly fifteen and a half. The consistency in duration across all four sides is a notable feature of the record's design.

Dirter Promotions, the releasing label, handled the vinyl edition under the catalog number DPROMDLP52. The year of release places the record in the early period of the band's catalog.
