Tatsuro Yamashita
僕の中の少年 (2025 Vinyl Edition)

Listening notes

Tatsuro Yamashita's 僕の中の少年 returns to vinyl in 2025 through Moon Records, carrying the catalog number WPJL-10261. The release presents nine tracks spread across two sides, mixing Japanese and English-language titles in a sequence that reflects the breadth of styles the album encompasses.

Side A opens with 新・東京ラプソディー and moves through Get Back In Love, The Girl In White, 寒い夏, and 踊ろよ、フィッシュ across its five positions. Side B carries four tracks: Luminescence, Marmalade Goodbye, 蒼氓, and the title track 僕の中の少年 closing out the record. The absence of listed track durations means the overall runtime is not confirmed from the available data.

The genres attributed to this release span considerable ground, including City Pop, Electronic, Funk, Pop, Rhythm & Blues, Soul, and Synth-pop. Taken together, these classifications suggest an album that does not sit neatly within a single category, though how those elements are balanced across the nine tracks is beyond what the current data can confirm.

Yamashita is a well-documented figure within Japanese popular music, and 僕の中の少年 is among the titles associated with his catalog. This 2025 pressing is issued under Moon Records, identified in the data as Moon Records (5), which distinguishes it from other entities operating under similar names.
