Tigerskin / Prudo / Lukas
Collection Vinyl 02

Listening notes

Released in 2007 on Players Paradise, Collection Vinyl 02 is catalogued under PLAYER 011 and brings together three artists — Tigerskin, Prudo, and Lukas — across a single vinyl release operating within the electronic and tech house genres.

The record carries three tracks spread across its two sides. The A-side is given entirely to Tigerskin's "The Day After," which runs at seven minutes and thirty-seven seconds, occupying the full side with space to develop at its own pace. The B-side divides its time between two contributions: Prudo's "The Italian Affair" at six minutes and thirty seconds, followed by Lukas's "Gaucho," which closes the record at five minutes and forty-four seconds. Together the three tracks account for just under twenty minutes of material.

The release sits within a series, identified by its title as the second installment in the Collection Vinyl line on Players Paradise. The label's catalog number places it as the eleventh release in its broader discography, suggesting an established if modestly scaled operation by the time this record appeared.

As a split or compilation format, Collection Vinyl 02 reflects a common practice in electronic music publishing during this period, gathering producers under a single imprint to present work in a cohesive physical format. The vinyl medium aligns naturally with tech house, a genre with a longstanding relationship to club-oriented twelve-inch releases.
