Taken From Vinyl

Listening notes

To Rococo Rot's *Taken From Vinyl* was released in 2006 on the Berlin-based label Staubgold, carrying the catalog number staubgold 73. The release is formatted as a CD and is catalogued under the genres Electronic, Experimental, IDM, and Leftfield.

The disc presents twelve audio tracks alongside a video component, also titled "Telema," running three minutes and twenty-five seconds. The audio version of "Telema" appears separately as track eight, at three minutes and forty-two seconds, making it one of the few instances on the record where a title recurs in a different form. The opening track, "Mit Dir In Der Gegend," is the longest piece on the release at six minutes and fifty-six seconds, while "Rebound" is the shortest at two minutes and seventeen seconds. Several of the titles are in German — among them "Autonachmittag," "Schon Sehr Viel Telefoniert," "Hotel Morgen," and "Gelb" — while others, including "Jackie's Dream," "She Understands The Dynamics," and "Days Between Stations," are in English. "Telema Längs" appears at track seven, distinct from the untitled variant "Telema" that follows it.

The total runtime of the twelve audio tracks, calculated from the listed durations, comes to approximately forty-nine minutes. The inclusion of a video file for "Telema" suggests the CD was produced with multimedia content, though the nature of that content is not detailed in the available information.

Staubgold has operated as a label with a consistent focus on electronic and experimental music, and *Taken From Vinyl* fits within that general scope based on its listed genre classifications. Beyond these verified details, this draft does not speculate on personnel, recording circumstances, or the meaning of the title.
