Listening notes

Released in 2011, this vinyl record appears on the Rootz label under the catalog number rootz08, placing it as the eighth release in that catalog sequence. The record carries no artist name and no track titles, presenting itself as a deliberately anonymous entry in the electronic and tech house genres.

The format is a standard two-sided vinyl, with one untitled track on the A-side and one untitled track on the B-side. No durations are documented for either track.

The decision to withhold artist and track information was a recognized practice within certain corners of electronic music releasing during this period, particularly in club-oriented genres where the music itself was sometimes considered sufficient context. Whether that reasoning applies here is not established by the available documentation.

What the catalog number does confirm is that Rootz was an active imprint by 2011, with rootz08 indicating at least eight releases had been issued under the label by that point. Beyond this, the label's origins, location, and broader roster are not addressed by the available facts.

Tech house as a genre had developed a substantial presence in underground vinyl culture by 2011, blending the structural rhythms of techno with elements drawn from house music. This release sits within that documented genre context, though nothing further about the specific musical content of these two tracks can be stated here.

For collectors and researchers, the combination of anonymous authorship, untitled tracks, and minimal documentation makes this record a difficult entry to expand upon without additional sources. The facts on file confirm a legitimate catalog entry on the Rootz label, nothing more.
