100% 90's Vol. 2 (Vinyl 2)

Listening notes

This 2005 release on Blanco Y Negro arrives as the second vinyl disc within the broader 100% 90's Vol. 2 compilation, catalogued under MX 1527 R (N). The record spans five tracks across two sides, drawing from a cluster of genres that defined a particular strand of European club culture: Electronic, Euro House, Italodance, and Makina.

Side A carries two tracks. The first, "Memories," opens the record without a listed duration, followed by "Think About The Way," a title that will be recognizable to listeners who followed Euro House radio and club circuits during the decade the compilation draws from. Side B is the fuller side, offering three selections: "El Bosque De Colores," "Play This Song," and "Love Sees No Colour." The inclusion of Makina alongside Italodance and Euro House in the genre tags is worth noting for prospective buyers, as Makina — a high-tempo electronic style with particular roots in Spanish club culture — sits at a notably different energy register than some of its companions on this disc.

Blanco Y Negro, the Spanish label behind this release, had a long-running association with European dance and electronic music, making it an appropriate home for a project of this type. The catalog number MX 1527 R (N) places this within what appears to be a larger numbered series on the imprint.

For collectors or researchers interested in how southern European club genres were being packaged and reissued in the mid-2000s, this disc offers a concrete artifact of that moment. Track durations are not documented in the available source data, which is a limitation worth flagging for any detailed discographic record.
