Various
12" Schranz Vinyl Box

Listening notes

Released in 2019 on ZYX Records, the 12" Schranz Vinyl Box (catalog number MAXIBOX LP19) is a various artists box set issued in vinyl format. The release sits at the intersection of electronic music, hard techno, and schranz, the latter being a particularly abrasive and rhythmically intense strain of techno that developed primarily in the German-speaking club scene.

The box set's tracklist includes five titled tracks: "Poney," "Hide U," "Boogie Schranzland," "Bittersweet," and "Halloween." Of these, only "Halloween" has a documented duration of eight minutes. Track positions are partially documented, with each of the five titles appearing in an A1 position, suggesting the release spans multiple individual records within the box set configuration, each with its own side sequencing. Full duration information for the remaining four tracks is not currently available in the verified data.

ZYX Records, a German label, has a long history of releasing electronic and dance music compilations, and this box set falls within that broader catalog tradition. The schranz genre represented here is associated with high-tempo, industrial-influenced techno, though specific details about the contributing artists or the origins of individual tracks on this release are not confirmed in the available data and are therefore omitted here.

As a vinyl box set, MAXIBOX LP19 is a physical format release intended for collectors and DJs with an interest in harder-edged electronic music. Beyond the confirmed catalog information, further details regarding personnel, pressing specifications, or related releases would require additional sourcing before publication.
