80s Electro Tracks - Vinyl Edition 5

Listening notes

ZYX Music continues its ongoing compilation series with the fifth vinyl installment of 80s Electro Tracks, issued in 2025 under catalog number ZYX 54063-1. The release brings together eight tracks drawn from the EBM, electro, synth-pop, and broader electronic genres, presented across two sides of a standard vinyl format.

Side A opens with a 12" Remix Version of "Obsession" running just over seven minutes, followed by a Dance Mix of "The Damned Don't Cry" at five minutes and forty seconds. "Moskwa Electronic" appears in its 12" Version, and Side A closes with the Vocal version of "Body Heat," which at six minutes and thirty-one seconds is the second longest selection on the record.

Side B leads with "Never Again (Again And Again Mix)" at nearly six minutes, then moves to "Satellite (Original Mix)" and a remix of "Donna Rouge." The compilation closes with a 12" Version of "Shooting Star (Six Times)," clocking in at six minutes and twenty-one seconds.

No individual artist attributions are listed in the available metadata, so specific performer credits cannot be confirmed at this stage and should be verified before publication. What can be noted is that the track sequencing favors extended versions throughout — six of the eight selections are identified as 12" versions, dance mixes, or remixes, suggesting the compilation is oriented toward the longer dance-floor edits that were common to the period being referenced rather than standard album cuts.

As the fifth entry in the series, 80s Electro Tracks - Vinyl Edition 5 continues a format ZYX Music has applied consistently across the run. Readers seeking information on prior volumes or individual track origins are encouraged to consult the label directly, as those details fall outside what the current verified data can support.
