Various
80s Electro Tracks - Vinyl Edition

Listening notes

ZYX Music issued this various-artists compilation in 2019 under catalog number ZYX 55883-1, collecting eight tracks drawn from the EBM, electro, and electronic genres and presenting them on vinyl. The release operates as a retrospective gesture toward a body of music associated with the 1980s, as the title directly indicates, though the pressing itself is a product of 2019.

The tracklist runs across two sides. Side A opens with "Harmonic Drive (No Connection Mix)" at five minutes and fifteen seconds, followed by the seven-minute-plus "Tubular Affair (Vocal)" and "Moskow Diskow (Maxi Version)," which clocks in at five minutes and nineteen seconds. Side A closes with "Input (Maxi Version)," the longest entry on that side at seven minutes and four seconds. Side B begins with "You (Extended Version)" at seven minutes and eleven seconds, then moves through "Feel It Right (Part One)" at five minutes and thirty-eight seconds. The side's anchor tracks are "Marcello The Mastroianni (Monster Mix)," the longest cut on the record at seven minutes and forty-four seconds, and "Ultra Warp (Death Mix)," which closes the record at four minutes and fifty-five seconds.

The track versions listed — maxi versions, extended versions, and named mixes such as the Monster Mix and Death Mix — suggest the compiler drew on extended single formats rather than album edits, which is a common approach in dance-oriented compilation work. The total runtime across both sides is substantial, with several tracks exceeding seven minutes. Beyond these tracklist details and the label and catalog information, this draft does not speculate on personnel, sourcing, or the specific recordings involved, and a fact checker should verify all artist attributions and version identifications before publication.
