80.Vinyl SIngle Collection 6

Listening notes

80.Vinyl Single Collection 6 is the sixth installment in Remake Studio's ongoing compilation series, released in 2000 under catalog number RS 1 - 006.2000. The release is formatted as a CDr and draws from the genres of Electronic, Euro-Disco, Eurobeat, and Italo-Disco, grouping eleven tracks under a single runtime.

The tracklist spans a range of named mix versions, suggesting the series is oriented toward presenting specific edits and extended formats of its source material. Tracks include club mixes, extended versions, maxi single versions, and at least one compilation version, with durations ranging from just over three minutes to nearly seven and a half. Judy La Rose's "Voodoo Love (House Mix Version)" is the longest entry at 7:32, while Angie Dylan's "Love On The Rebound (Compilation Version)" is the shortest at 3:01.

The compilation draws from a varied roster of artists. Among the more recognizable names on the tracklist is Philip Oakey, vocalist of The Human League, appearing here alongside producer Giorgio Moroder on "Be My Lover Now (Album Version)," a track running 3:52. The remaining contributors — Tongue, Jerome Stocks, Judy La Rose, Sweet Jam, Victoria, Hiroko Murata, Laurie, Dana Kay, Angie Dylan, and Jasmine — reflect the series' broader focus on genre rather than artist profile.

The title's reference to vinyl singles positions the release as documentation of or homage to single culture within these genres, though the format itself is CDr. As the sixth volume in the series, it implies a cataloging intent consistent across multiple releases from Remake Studio.
