Alter Ego Vinyl Collection Vol.2

Listening notes

Released in 2022 on The Saifam Group (catalog number COM 215), Alter Ego Vinyl Collection Vol. 2 is a various artists compilation presented across four sides of vinyl. The release draws from the genres of electro house, electronic, house, and tech house, positioning it within a broad range of contemporary dance music styles.

The collection comprises ten tracks distributed across two records. Side A opens with "Say It Many Times" at 5:53 and is followed by "Triton Revenge" at 5:25. Side B carries the longest individual track on the release, "Alien," which runs 8:40, preceded by "Momento Leggero" at 7:27 and followed by "Creepy" at 5:49. Side C contains three tracks — "Fiamma" (5:27), "Getcha" (6:12), and "Jungle Boogie" (6:09) — while Side D closes the compilation with "Sing Sing" at 7:37 and "Journey Into Nothingness" at 7:33.

The track durations across the four sides suggest a release oriented toward extended dance floor use, with several tracks exceeding seven minutes. The total running time across all ten tracks amounts to approximately 66 minutes and 12 seconds. The title indicates this is the second volume in the Alter Ego Vinyl Collection series, implying at least one preceding release under the same umbrella on the same label.

The Saifam Group is an Italian music company, and the COM prefix of the catalog number is consistent with cataloging patterns associated with that imprint. No individual track artist credits are included in the available documentation for this release.
