Babby One / Mad Cow 12" Vinyl

Listening notes

Released in 2005 on Avex Trax, the 12-inch vinyl carrying catalog number VEJT-89186 presents four extended mixes across two sides under the combined billing of Babby One and Mad Cow. The release falls within the electronic and Eurobeat genres, two categories that Avex Trax had long maintained a significant presence in through its catalogue of domestic and licensed releases in Japan.

The A-side opens with "Jingle Jungle Boy (Extended Mix)" at five minutes and seven seconds, followed by "Rumble The Jungle (Extended Mix)" at five minutes and six seconds. The near-identical running times of the two A-side cuts give the side a measured consistency in format. The B-side carries "I Want Your Balalaika (Extended Mix)" as its lead track, running five minutes and nineteen seconds, making it the longest individual cut on the record. It is followed by "Rasputin, Pasternak And Molotov (Extended Mix)" at five minutes and one second, closing out the release.

All four tracks are presented in extended mix form, a configuration suited to the Eurobeat format, where longer versions have historically served both club and dedicated listener contexts within the genre's fanbase. The tracklist titles themselves reflect a degree of playfulness and cultural reference that is not uncommon in Eurobeat releases of this period, with nods to Russian historical and cultural figures visible in the B-side sequencing.

As a 12-inch single, VEJT-89186 fits within a well-established format for Eurobeat and electronic releases on Avex Trax during the mid-2000s. Beyond the confirmed details of its tracklist, label, catalog number, year, and format, further context about this release would require additional verified sourcing.
