Blast First Petite Alan Vega 70th Vinyl Series Radio Promo CD #4

Listening notes

Released in 2010 on Blast First Petite, this radio promo CD carries the catalog number PTYT/PCD 005 and forms part of the label's Alan Vega 70th Vinyl Series. As the fourth installment in that promotional sequence, it was issued to support what the series title indicates was a celebration tied to Vega's seventieth year.

The disc collects six tracks running across a range of durations and genres. The tracklist opens with "Ghostrider" at 2:52, followed by "Diamonds, Furcoats, Champagne" at 5:50 and "Puss On Tha Timewarp" at 4:03. The second half of the disc moves through "Jonny" at 2:01, "Universe" at 5:50, and closes with "No Tomorrow" at 4:31. The release is catalogued under multiple genre descriptors — Classic Rock, Electronic, Experimental, and Rock — reflecting a varied compilation rather than a single-artist or single-genre document.

The Various Artists credit and the radio promo format suggest this disc was assembled as a sampler intended for broadcast use rather than retail sale. Blast First Petite, the label behind the release, is the imprint associated with the broader Blast First catalog.

Because this is a CD promo rather than a vinyl pressing, collectors approaching it through a vinyl reference context should note its format distinction. It exists as documentary material surrounding the Vega 70th Vinyl Series rather than as a vinyl artifact itself. Personnel, recording origins, and specific track attributions are not confirmed in the available data and should be verified independently before publication.
