[bracid] : Acid House Is A State Of Mind (Blue Vinyl)(Part 2/5)

Listening notes

Released in 2024 on the French label Brique Rouge, [bracid] : Acid House Is A State Of Mind (Blue Vinyl)(Part 2/5) carries the catalog number BR303/2 and represents the second installment in a five-part series. The release is pressed on blue vinyl and falls within the acid and electronic genres.

This installment spans six tracks across two sides. Side C opens with "Rendez-Vous" at seven minutes and fifteen seconds, followed by "Acid Waste" at seven minutes and seven seconds, and "6 Minutes Of Acid" at six minutes and four seconds. Side D begins with "Chi Town Speaking" at five minutes and forty-two seconds, continues with "Chemsex" at six minutes and thirty seconds, and closes with "Acid In The Morning" at seven minutes and nine seconds.

The titles themselves gesture toward the broader acid house tradition, with references that range from the geographical — "Chi Town Speaking" nodding to Chicago, widely recognized as a city central to acid house's origins — to the more abstract and atmospheric. The series subtitle, Acid House Is A State Of Mind, frames the project as something of a conceptual statement, though the nature and scope of that concept are not elaborated by the available information.

As Part 2 of 5, the release sits within a larger structured body of work, suggesting that Brique Rouge has organized this material as a serialized collection rather than a standalone record. The individual track durations range from just under six minutes to slightly over seven, consistent with floor-oriented formatting common to the acid and electronic genres this release occupies.

Track artists, producers, and other personnel have not been confirmed and are not listed here.
