Various
Chillin' Underground / Lionel Vinyl / Cry

Listening notes

This vinyl release, catalogued as CWL 001 and issued on Not On Label (Modjo), collects three tracks across its two sides under the umbrella title Chillin' Underground / Lionel Vinyl / Cry. The release falls within the genres of deep house, disco, electronic, and house, situating it within a broad but well-defined corner of dance music. No release year is documented in the available record.

The A-side is given entirely to "Chillin' Underground," which runs for seven minutes and thirty-three seconds, a duration consistent with extended dance floor edits designed to give a DJ room to work. The B-side is split between two tracks: "Lionel Vinyl" at six minutes and twenty-six seconds, and "Cry" at five minutes and thirty-six seconds, bringing the total program to just under twenty minutes across the three pieces. The sequencing places the longest track alone on one side and pairs two shorter selections on the other, a practical division that is common in twelve-inch and EP formats intended for club use.

The label designation of Not On Label with the parenthetical qualifier Modjo indicates a self-released or privately distributed release rather than one issued through a conventional imprint, a format that has long been a feature of underground dance music distribution. The catalog number CWL 001 suggests this may represent a first release within a series or imprint, though no further releases under that numbering are reflected in the available data.

Artist attribution is listed as Various, meaning the three tracks are not credited to a single act in the current documentation. No additional personnel, production, or compositional credits are captured in the verified record. This draft should be reviewed against any physical copy or supplementary documentation before publication.
