Various
Chronobrain (Techno Releases From Vinyl CB 000 To CB 018)

Listening notes

Released in 1999 on the Chronobrain label, this CD compilation carries the catalog number CB CDL 01 and draws its content from the label's vinyl output spanning releases CB 000 through CB 018. The title makes that origin explicit: Chronobrain (Techno Releases From Vinyl CB 000 To CB 018) positions itself plainly as a document of what the label had issued on wax up to that point.

The disc collects seventeen tracks across just under eighty minutes, touching on genres listed as electronic, freetekno, techno, and tribal. Track lengths vary considerably, from the two minutes and thirty-six seconds of "Destroy Reality" at one end to the six minutes and fifty-four seconds of "Siracle" at the other, suggesting the compilation draws from material that served different functions across those nineteen vinyl releases. Two entries titled "Washing Machine 1" and "Washing Machine 3" imply at least a third part exists elsewhere in the catalog, and "Bug (Remix)" indicates that at least one track on the compilation is a reworked version rather than an original release.

Because the artist credit is listed as Various, individual track attributions are not confirmed by the available information and are not stated here. The label name, Chronobrain, and the sequencing of catalog numbers suggest a self-contained operation that documented its own vinyl history through this single CD release.

What can be said with confidence is that CB CDL 01 represents a format shift — from the vinyl singles and releases the label had been producing, to a compiled CD designed to present that body of work in sequence. Whether that sequence follows the original release order of CB 000 through CB 018 is not confirmed by the available data.
