Various
Commodore 64 Vinyl Tribute Volume 2

Listening notes

Released in 2021 on a self-released, not-on-label basis, Commodore 64 Vinyl Tribute Volume 2 is a various artists compilation spanning four sides of vinyl. The release carries no official catalog number, situating it outside conventional distribution channels. Its genre tags — acid, chiptune, electronic, and techno — point toward a set of tracks working somewhere in the territory where early computer music and contemporary electronic production intersect.

The tracklist runs to twenty-two cuts spread across sides A through D. Side A opens with "Transmission 64" at four minutes and twenty-one seconds and moves through "Legacy," "Spectrum," and "Wellenreiter" before closing with "Monster Buster XL Ingame 6," the shortest entry on that side at two minutes and fifty-three seconds. The chiptune genre tag is perhaps most legible in that final title, which reads like a direct reference to in-game music culture. Side B carries five tracks, including "Hudba Lupinky" and the closing "Dark Future." Side C is the most densely packed at six tracks, running from "From Now And Forever" through to "Cyberpsych," which at two minutes and thirty-six seconds is the shortest piece on the record. Side D rounds out the compilation with another six tracks, ending on "Saudade No. 2."

Track lengths across the record are notably compact, with most pieces falling between roughly two and a half and four and a half minutes. The title itself signals an explicit continuity — this is identified as a second volume — though no information about the first volume or any broader series context is available from the verified data here.

As a not-on-label release with no catalog number, the compilation exists outside standard industry infrastructure, a circumstance that is not uncommon in self-organized electronic music communities. No further details regarding contributors, pressing quantities, or release context are available for confirmation at this stage.
