Cruise Music Vinyl Jams Vol 7

Listening notes

Cruise Music Vinyl Jams Vol. 7 is a various artists release issued by Cruise Music in 2022 under catalog number CM 007. As the seventh installment in the label's Vinyl Jams series, it continues the imprint's focus on physical format releases, arriving as a standard vinyl record with four tracks spread across two sides.

The record draws from a cluster of related genres — deep house, disco, electronic, and house — suggesting a programmatic continuity across the two sides. Side A opens with "Keep On Groovin" at the A1 position, followed by "Dance Baby Dance" at A2. Side B carries "Strangers" in the B1 slot and closes with "Bustin Loose" at B2. Track durations are not documented in the available release data.

The series title and volume numbering indicate that Cruise Music has maintained a consistent release identity across multiple editions, with this seventh volume appearing in 2022. The label name and the Vinyl Jams branding together point to a deliberate orientation toward the vinyl market, though the specifics of the label's history, distribution reach, or catalog scope beyond this release are outside the scope of verified information here.

The genre spread — anchoring in house and deep house while extending toward disco and broader electronic music — reflects a pairing that has remained common in DJ-oriented compilation releases, where disco's rhythmic vocabulary and house's structural conventions sit in close proximity. Whether that relationship is explored in any particular way across these four tracks is not something the available data can confirm.
