Dance Train Classics Vinyl 5

Listening notes

Dance Train Classics Vinyl 5 is a three-track vinyl release issued in 2000 on the 541 label under catalog number 541416 500465. Falling within the electronic and house genres, it presents itself as part of a broader Dance Train Classics series, with the numeral in its title suggesting at least four prior installments.

The record is credited to Various artists and contains tracks across its A and B sides. The A side carries a single track, "Disco's Revenge (Mole Hole Dirty Mix)," running six minutes and thirteen seconds. The B side is divided between two tracks: "Free (Mood II Swing House Mix)" at seven minutes and fifteen seconds, and "Giv Me Luv (Original Mix)" at seven minutes and thirty-nine seconds. The presence of named mixes — the Mole Hole Dirty Mix and the Mood II Swing House Mix — indicates that at least two of the three tracks are remix versions rather than original productions, a format common to house-oriented compilation releases of the period.

The total playing time across both sides amounts to roughly twenty-one minutes, a runtime consistent with a standard 12-inch single or extended play format, though the specific configuration is not confirmed here beyond the vinyl designation. The tracklist titles and their associated mix credits reflect familiar conventions of late-1990s and early-2000s house music releasing practices, where extended mixes were routinely commissioned for club and DJ use.

Beyond what the catalog data provides, further details regarding personnel, mastering, pressing origin, or the broader context of the Dance Train Classics series are not confirmed in the available information and have been omitted from this draft pending additional verification.
