Dconstructed—Vinyl Edition

Listening notes

Released in 2014 on Walt Disney Records (catalog number D0020564-01), Dconstructed—Vinyl Edition is a compilation of electronically reworked Disney material spanning several subgenres, including breakbeat, dubstep, electro, progressive house, and tech house. The release brings together a range of remixers and source material drawn from across the Disney catalog.

The vinyl edition spreads its content across two sides. Side A opens with Mat Zo's remix of "Circle of Life," followed by "Derezzed (So Amazing Mix)," a rework of the Tron Legacy composition. Armin van Buuren's remix of "Let It Go" from Frozen occupies the A3 position, and Side A closes with a Trion remix of "Once Upon a Dream," the Sleeping Beauty standard. Side B begins with the Japanese Popstars' remix of "Fall," followed by Shy Kidx's take on "The Muppet Show Theme" and an extended mix of "Main Street Electrical Parade." The side concludes with a Dave Audé Club Remix of "Let It Go," listed as a bonus track at the B4 position, making "Let It Go" the only source song to appear twice on the record.

The pairing of the Disney brand with electronic dance music subgenres such as dubstep and tech house marks the compilation as an unconventional entry in the Walt Disney Records catalog. Source material ranges from a decades-old theme park attraction cue to a song from a 2013 feature film, suggesting a deliberately wide scope in the selection of underlying compositions.

No track durations are documented for this edition. Collectors and researchers seeking additional technical details—including matrix information, pressing origin, or personnel credits—should consult physical copies or supplementary documentation, as those details are not confirmed here.
