Listening notes

Released in 1993 on the DOVe label, *Death Of Vinyl Revolutions Vol. 1* (catalog number DOVeCD344) is a various-artists compilation issued on CD. The release spans ten tracks across genres catalogued as acid, electronic, and techno.

The tracklist opens with "Melon Ball," the longest entry on the compilation at twelve minutes and ten seconds, a running time that places it well above the average for the remaining tracks. From there the sequencing moves through a range of durations: "Water Sports" runs six minutes even, followed by "Wave" at five minutes and fifty-seven seconds. "Trance Induction" clocks in at six minutes and forty-two seconds, and "Chaosphere" at seven minutes and five seconds. "Transference 2," at ten minutes and forty-six seconds, is the second longest piece on the disc. The back half of the compilation continues with "Crack" at six minutes and twenty-one seconds, "Output Expander" at three minutes and forty-seven seconds — the shortest track on the release — "Chameleon (Pink Mix)" at six minutes and seventeen seconds, and "Brainchild" closing the disc at five minutes and thirty-four seconds.

In total the compilation runs approximately seventy-six minutes and thirty-nine seconds, making efficient use of the CD format's capacity. The volume designation in the title suggests the label intended the release as the first in a series, though no further information on subsequent volumes is available here for confirmation.

The "Vol. 1" designation and the label name DOVe are the primary identifiers on record for this release. Collectors and researchers seeking further documentation on contributing artists, individual track credits, or label history would need to consult additional sources beyond what is confirmed here.
