DJ's On Vinyl, Vol. 3

Listening notes

Released in 1992 on New Generation Records, *DJ's On Vinyl, Vol. 3* (catalog number NGR 003) is the third entry in the label's compilation series, presenting six tracks across two sides of vinyl. The record draws from a cluster of genres — deep house, garage house, house, and electronic — that were actively defining club culture during the early part of that decade.

The sequencing is organized under two named sides. The A-side carries the designation "Groove Side" and opens with "Don't Want It To Be Free," followed by "Lot #515 (Yeahee Yeah)" and "Payoff." The B-side is labeled "Vibes Side" and contains "Love Is The Only Way," "Cassio Came Back With A Mad Harmonica," and "Mello Jazz." The side titles suggest an intentional curatorial logic, though the distinction between the two remains implicit in the track selection itself.

As a Various Artists compilation, the record reflects a format common to the period, in which labels used multi-track releases to present a range of material under a single imprint. The NGR 003 catalog number confirms its place as the third release in the series, indicating that New Generation Records had already established the DJ's On Vinyl template by the time this volume appeared.

No track durations are documented in the available record data, and personnel credits are not confirmed at this time. Researchers and collectors seeking full attribution should consult physical pressings or supplementary documentation before treating any credit information as verified.
