Don't Be Left Out - Vinyl Sampler 02

Listening notes

Released in 2007, "Don't Be Left Out - Vinyl Sampler 02" is a four-track vinyl release from Leftroom, carrying the catalog number LEFTLP001S2. The record sits within the electronic, minimal, and tech house genres, presenting a compact cross-section of the label's output at the time.

The release is structured across two sides. Side A opens with "Obedience," followed by "Root Rot (CB Funk's Root Down Remix)," the latter credit indicating a reworked version of an existing track. Side B carries "Gender (Ambivalent's Feminine Remix)," again a remix, this one attributed to Ambivalent, and closes with "Kick C." The presence of two remixes among the four tracks gives the record a curatorial character, positioning it as a showcase that draws on interpretations of material alongside original work.

The title frames the release explicitly as a sampler, the second in what the naming convention suggests was a series connected to the broader "Don't Be Left Out" umbrella on Leftroom. As a label sampler, its stated purpose was presumably to represent the Leftroom sound to a vinyl-buying audience operating within the minimal and tech house spaces that were active reference points in electronic music during that period.

No track durations are documented in the available information, and personnel details beyond the remix credits noted in the track titles are not confirmed here. A fact checker should verify artist attributions for each track, confirm whether additional pressings or formats exist, and establish whether the sampler series continued beyond this second volume.
