Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree (The Vinyl Collection)

Listening notes

Released in 2025 on Bandai Namco, Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree (The Vinyl Collection) is a five-LP box set collecting the soundtrack from FromSoftware's Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. The set is catalogued across ten sides — labeled A through J — and contains 36 individual tracks spread across the full run of discs.

The tracklist is organized to mirror the geography and progression of the expansion itself. Earlier sides move through ambient location pieces: "Gravesite Plain" opens the set at 3:52, followed by its night variant at 4:13, then a series of shorter cues tied to specific in-game environments including "Belurat, Tower Settlement," "Castle Ensis," and "Scadu Altus." Day and night variants appear at several points — "Scadu Altus At Night" and "Ancient Ruins Of Rauh At Night" among them — reflecting the score's attention to atmospheric shifts within individual zones.

The later sides shift toward combat-oriented material. Sides E through J are weighted with boss encounter pieces, many of them running longer than the ambient cues that precede them. "The Lord Of Frenzied Flame" is the longest track on sides H through I at 6:13, while "The Promised Consort" closes side J at 6:32, representing the longest single piece in the collection. "The Scadutree Avatar" at 5:30 and "Messmer, The Impaler" at 5:04 are among the other extended pieces gathered toward the set's conclusion.

In total, the collection runs to well over two hours of music. The box set format, spanning five records with no assigned catalog number, was released under Bandai Namco's label imprint. It falls under the Soundtrack, Stage & Screen, and Video Game Music genres.
