Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Vinyl

Listening notes

Released in 2024 on Square Enix Music, the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth vinyl (catalog number SQEX-11086) brings a selection of the game's soundtrack to the physical format. The release collects nine tracks across two sides, each named after a prominent character from the Final Fantasy VII universe: the Aerith Side and the Tifa Side.

The Aerith Side opens with "On Our Way - Sense Of Kalm," followed by "Farm Boy," "Chadley's Theme," and "Grasslands De Chocobo." The side closes with a Battle Edit of the iconic "Main Theme Of FFVII," one of two tracks on this release presented in that arrangement. The Tifa Side contains four tracks centered on the Junon region of the game's world. It includes both a standard and a Battle Edit version of "The Junon Region," alongside "Under Junon - Sunless Oasis" and "Materia Guardian."

The release falls under the genres of Electronic, Soundtrack, Stage & Screen, and Video Game Music, reflecting the broad sonic scope that contemporary game scores tend to occupy. The dual-side character naming is a presentational choice that aligns the physical object with the game's narrative, though what significance that framing holds beyond organization is not specified in available documentation.

Track durations are not listed for this release, and personnel credits are not included in the available information. Collectors and fans of the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth score will find this a focused sampler rather than a comprehensive document of the full soundtrack.
