Fluid Ounce Presents... Limited Edition Vinyl Promo

Listening notes

Released in 2008 on Unfold Recordings, *Fluid Ounce Presents... Limited Edition Vinyl Promo* carries catalog number UNFOLD 004 and collects three tracks across its two sides. The A-side holds "Carpet Volé," while the B-side pairs "Pinchaor's Groove" and "Bah." The release is catalogued under the genres of broken beat, deep house, electronic, and house.

The title identifies the release explicitly as a limited edition promotional item, situating it within a tradition of label samplers and promo pressings used to introduce or spotlight associated artists and sounds. The Fluid Ounce name appears as a curatorial or presenting entity, though the record is credited to Various artists, suggesting the tracks originate from more than one contributor.

Unfold Recordings, reflected in the catalog sequence by the UNFOLD prefix, had reached its fourth release with this pressing. Beyond what the catalog number and year indicate, the available documentation does not extend to personnel, recording details, or the broader trajectory of the label.

Duration information is not listed for any of the three tracks, which is not unusual for promotional pressings where standard consumer documentation may be absent or incomplete.

For collectors and researchers working through the broken beat and deep house spaces of that period, this release represents a documented entry point into what Unfold Recordings was presenting at the time. The genre tags span a range that reflects the crossover tendencies common to that corner of the electronic music landscape in 2008, though further characterization of the individual tracks would require additional sourcing beyond what is currently verified.
