Various
Flying Vinyl: January 2019

Listening notes

Flying Vinyl: January 2019 arrived as Issue 44 from Flying Vinyl (2), released in 2019 as a box set containing multiple vinyl records. The release brings together ten tracks spread across sides A through J, with each side carrying a single song — a format that gives each track its own dedicated space on wax.

The tracklist spans a notably broad range of genres, with the release catalogued across blues, downtempo, electronic, funk and soul, hip hop, indie pop, pop, and rock. That breadth suggests the curatorial ambition that subscription-style vinyl box sets of this kind often pursue, though the specifics of how these particular tracks were selected are not documented in the available information.

The ten tracks — "Love, Lost," "Settle Down," "Seperate Beat," "Club," "Panorama," "Burning Bridges," "Song To Bethy," "I Am The Swan To Your Song (Keira's Song)," "Fade," and "Like An American" — are attributed collectively to a various artists lineup, with no individual artist credits available in the verified data. Track durations are also not documented.

As a various artists compilation issued under a subscription model, this release fits a format designed to introduce listeners to emerging or independent music on physical media. The catalog number designating it as Issue 44 places it within an ongoing series, indicating Flying Vinyl had by this point established a substantial run of monthly releases.

Collectors and researchers should note that artist attribution, pressing details, and track durations remain unconfirmed in this entry and would benefit from additional documentation before this record can be more thoroughly assessed.
