Flying Vinyl: October 2017

Listening notes

Flying Vinyl: October 2017 is Issue 29 of the Flying Vinyl subscription series, released in 2017 on the Flying Vinyl (2) label. The release takes the form of a vinyl box set comprising multiple records, with ten tracks distributed across sides A through J, each side carrying a single track.

The set draws from a range of genres listed on the release, including Electronic, Experimental, Indie Pop, Indie Rock, Lo-Fi, Pop, and Rock, suggesting a deliberately varied curatorial approach across its ten selections. The tracklist opens on side A with "Bloodlust" and closes on side J with "Weight," moving through titles that include "Ghost (Acoustic)," "Park Outside Your Mothers House," "Weeping," "Everyone You Know," "Bye & Bye," "Babies Are A Lie," "School," and "Lost." The presence of an acoustic version among the selections, specifically "Ghost (Acoustic)" on side B, is one of the few details the tracklist itself makes explicit about the nature of individual recordings.

No track durations are documented in the available data, and artist attributions per track are not listed in the verified information for this release, which is credited broadly to Various artists. Those details would require independent verification before publication.

Flying Vinyl operated as a monthly subscription service delivering exclusive vinyl releases to subscribers, and Issue 29 represents the October 2017 installment of that offering. The box set format and the one-track-per-side sequencing are consistent with the multi-record packaging implied by the catalog entry. Further details regarding contributing artists, label personnel, and pressing specifications are not available in the verified facts and have been omitted from this draft.
