Full Body Workout Vol. 6 (Vinyl Edition)

Listening notes

Get Physical Music's Full Body Workout series had established itself as a reliable vehicle for the Berlin-based label's curatorial approach to electronic music by the time this sixth volume arrived in 2010. Released under catalog number GPM127, this vinyl edition presents four tracks spread across two sides, working within the genres of minimal and tech house that had become central to Get Physical's identity during that period.

The four selections — "Tres Es Three" on the A-side, followed by "Right Here," then "Atalaya" and "Bon Baiser De Bombay" occupying the B-side — represent the compilation format that the Full Body Workout series used consistently across its run. The series title itself signals an intentional alignment with dancefloor function, a positioning that reflects the label's ongoing commitment to club-oriented electronic music throughout the late 2000s and into the next decade.

Get Physical Music, founded in 2002, had by 2010 built a substantial catalog operating at the intersection of minimal techno and tech house, releasing material that engaged with the European club scene's tastes during that era. The Full Body Workout series served as one format through which the label packaged and distributed that curatorial output, with this sixth volume continuing the sequence in vinyl form.
