Galaxie Vinyl Vol.1

Listening notes

Galaxie Vinyl Vol. 1 is a various artists compilation released in 1994 on Back Stage Int'l, carrying the catalog number BSL 0001. The release is formatted as a standard vinyl record and sits within the electronic, techno, and trance genres that were actively circulating through club culture and specialist record shops during that period.

The record holds five tracks across its two sides. The A-side opens with "Thunder And Rain (Bass Drum Mix)" followed by "La Sirena (Radio Edit)," the latter's designation suggesting it was prepared with broader airplay accessibility in mind. The B-side carries three tracks: "Another World (Remix)," "Fanatic Trance (Remix)," and "Personal Travel." The presence of remix and alternate mix designations on four of the five tracks indicates that previously existing versions of at least some of this material were in circulation before this compilation was assembled.

The catalog number BSL 0001 places this as the inaugural release under the Back Stage Int'l imprint, marking it as the label's first documented entry in its catalog. The Vol. 1 designation in the title similarly implies that the label intended to continue the Galaxie Vinyl series beyond this initial installment, though no further volumes are documented within the verified information available here.

Track durations are not documented in the available data, and no personnel, production credits, or country of manufacture information has been confirmed for this draft. Prospective contributors or editors with access to the physical release are encouraged to supply those details before this entry is considered complete.
