GLO Vinyl Shop Sampler 02

Listening notes

Good Looking Records has long been associated with a particular strand of British electronic music, and the GLO Vinyl Shop Sampler 02 — catalogued as GLRVSS02 — reflects the label's characteristically broad reach across related genres. Released on CDr format, the sampler compiles twenty tracks spanning deep house, downtempo, drum and bass, and electronic music more broadly, positioning itself as a cross-genre overview of material available through the label's retail operation.

The tracklist is substantial for a sampler, running from "Pousse Cafe" at position one through to "TBC" at position twenty. Titles along the way include "Unconditional Love (Quintet Plays Reconditioned Love Remix)" and "Mysteries (ASC Remix)," indicating that remixed versions feature alongside what appear to be original recordings. Track titles such as "Sleeping Alone Samba," "Cafe Moonlight," and "Brass Eye" suggest a range of moods and reference points across the sequence, though no artist credits, durations, or additional personnel information are documented in the available data.

The CDr format is worth noting for context. Unlike a commercially pressed compact disc, CDr releases of this kind were typically produced in limited quantities for specific purposes — in this case, evidently to serve the GLO Vinyl Shop as a promotional or in-store tool. No release year is currently documented for GLRVSS02, which may complicate precise placement within Good Looking Records' broader catalogue history.

Because individual track credits and durations are not available in the verified data, this entry should be treated as incomplete pending further documentation. Researchers or collectors with physical copies of GLRVSS02 who can confirm personnel, recording dates, or additional label copy are encouraged to contribute that information.
