Jump Up The Bass Vinyl Sampler 002

Listening notes

Jump Up The Bass Vinyl Sampler 002 is a four-track vinyl release issued in 2008 under the catalog number JUTB002 on the Jump Up The Bass label. The record falls within the electronic and jumpstyle genres, placing it within a moment when jumpstyle was finding its way onto dedicated vinyl imprints aimed at DJs and enthusiasts of the style.

The release follows a standard two-sided format. The A-side opens with "Bounce To This" and continues with "Shut Up," while the B-side carries "Tek-Splode" and closes with "Ass Kick." No track durations are documented in the available release information. The titles themselves reflect the energy and directness that characterized much jumpstyle output of the period, a genre built around hard, driving rhythms and a distinctly unambiguous attitude.

As the second entry in the Vinyl Sampler series from Jump Up The Bass — indicated by the 002 suffix in both the series title and catalog number — this release suggests the label was committed to developing a run of vinyl samplers to represent its catalog or the broader jumpstyle scene. No further personnel, production credits, or artist attributions are available within the verified documentation for this release.

For collectors and researchers working with jumpstyle on vinyl, this record represents a documented physical release from a label operating within that specific corner of the electronic music world in 2008. Beyond the tracklist, catalog number, label, format, year, and genre classification, no additional details have been confirmed at the time of this draft and should not be assumed without further verification.
