Loves Vinyl - Volume 05

Listening notes

Loves Vinyl – Volume 05 arrived in 2019 as the fifth instalment in the LovesVinyl label's ongoing compilation series, issued under catalog number LV005. Like its predecessors, the release gathers material from across a deliberately wide stylistic range, with the label listing genres that span classical, electronic, experimental, indie rock, modern classical, and rock. Whether that breadth reflects a curatorial thesis or simply an openness to eclectic programming is something a listener will have to judge for themselves.

The six tracks are spread across two sides. Side A opens with "Wanting Ways," followed by "Picture Of You" and "Pacific 2." Side B moves through "Ancor Che Col Partire," a title drawn from a Renaissance-era madrigal tradition, before continuing with "Dust III: Rest" and closing on "Ocean." The sequencing suggests a degree of intentionality — the B-side titles in particular carry a certain reflective or elegiac register — though no additional documentation accompanies those observations here.

Duration information for individual tracks is not available in the current record, which makes it difficult to characterize the overall running time or the weight given to any particular contributor. Similarly, personnel credits are not confirmed at this stage and have been withheld accordingly.

What the verified facts do establish is straightforward: this is a vinyl release on the LovesVinyl imprint, cataloged as LV005, released in 2019, and presenting six tracks under a compilation format. For collectors building a picture of the label's output or tracking the arc of the series across its volumes, this release represents a documented point in that sequence. Further editorial commentary should await confirmation of artist attributions, pressing details, and any additional liner documentation that may accompany the physical release.
