Miami Vinyl Sampler

Listening notes

The Miami Vinyl Sampler, released by Chic Flowerz Records in 2007 under catalog number CF 032, is a four-track vinyl compilation drawing from the electro, electronic, and house genres. The record spreads its selections across two sides, presenting a snapshot of what the label chose to represent under the Miami banner at that moment in time.

Side A opens with "Girl (Breath Mix)" before moving into "My Trust (Original Mix)," a pairing that suggests the label was willing to place both a remixed interpretation and a straight original cut on the same face of the record. Side B follows with "Satisfaction (Kash Remix)" and closes on "Haute Couture (La Mode In De Mix)," the latter title carrying a loosely translated phrase — "fashion in the mix" — that fits comfortably within the aesthetic vocabulary of early 2000s electronic music.

The sampler format itself was a common commercial and promotional tool in electronic music during this period, allowing labels to group tracks across artists or projects onto a single release, giving prospective buyers or industry listeners a condensed overview of a label's catalog or direction. Whether CF 032 served a promotional function, a commercial one, or both is not indicated by the available information.

Chic Flowerz Records assigned this release its thirty-second catalog entry, placing it within what appears to be an established and ongoing discography by 2007. Beyond the title, label, format, year, catalog number, genre tags, and tracklist, the documented record of this release is limited, and any further characterization would require additional verified sourcing.
