Mohawk Vinyl 01

Listening notes

Mohawk Vinyl 01 is a four-track vinyl release issued in 2012 under the catalog number Mohawk 01 on the Mohawk Vinyl label. The record sits across genres catalogued as acid, electronic, freetekno, and techno, a grouping that places it within the broader continuum of underground electronic music that draws on the raw, repetitive aesthetics associated with free party culture and acid-driven club music.

The release carries two tracks per side. The A-side opens with "Liquid Sunrise" and continues with "Urban Soldier." The B-side presents "Wave Of Acid" followed by "Permission To Panic." Track durations are not documented in the available information. Individual artist credits per track are likewise not confirmed by the verified data on hand, and no personnel details can be stated here without risking inaccuracy.

The freetekno genre tag is worth noting in context. Freetekno, sometimes rendered as free tekno or tekno, is associated with an independent, DIY ethos rooted in European free party movements, and records released under that banner have historically operated outside mainstream distribution networks. Whether that broader cultural context applies specifically to Mohawk Vinyl as a label is a matter a fact checker should confirm independently, as no label background information is available in the verified data provided.

What can be stated plainly is that Mohawk Vinyl 01 represents an early entry in the label's catalog, given its catalog number suffix of 01. Beyond that, the record stands as a documented 2012 vinyl release combining genre styles that share structural and aesthetic common ground in underground electronic music. Readers seeking pressing details, personnel credits, or distribution history should consult primary sources, as none of that information has been verified here.
