Montini Reunion Part II Vinyl 001/003

Listening notes

Released in 2002 on the 541 label under catalog number 541416 500941, Montini Reunion Part II Vinyl 001/003 is a various artists release sitting across the electronic, techno, and trance genres. As the designation 001/003 suggests, this record is one installment within a larger series, positioned as the first of three vinyl entries in the Montini Reunion Part II project.

The record is laid out across two sides, with four tracks distributed between them. Side A opens with "Amphetamine (Original)" at six minutes and forty-five seconds, followed by "Rushed," which extends the side considerably at eight minutes and forty-four seconds, making it the longest cut on the record. Side B shifts to shorter pieces, beginning with "Warning" at three minutes and twelve seconds before closing with "Sonar System" at four minutes and forty-five seconds. The total running time across the four tracks amounts to just over twenty-three minutes.

The sequencing places the two longer, more extended pieces on Side A, while Side B is comparatively compact, with neither track exceeding five minutes. Whether this reflects a deliberate structural choice or simply the practical demands of the format is not something the available information can confirm.

Genre designations of electronic, techno, and trance give some sense of the stylistic territory the release occupies, though how individual tracks relate to those categories is not something that can be addressed here without additional documentation. The series framing of the release — Part II, with three vinyl volumes — suggests a broader curatorial project, though the scope and context of that project are not covered by the verified information available.
