Needs x Green Vinyl present The Future Of Vinyl

Listening notes

Released in 2021, *The Future Of Vinyl* is a collaborative release presented by Needs and Green Vinyl, issued on the Needs - Not For Profit label under catalog number NNFP009. The compilation brings together six tracks across two sides, spanning genres including breakbeat, electro, electronic, and techno.

Side A opens with "Rotational Speed," followed by "Gluttony" and "The Last Laugh." Side B carries "Sky Express," "Flex," and "Cluttered." Track durations are not documented in the available release data.

The label name, Needs - Not For Profit, signals an organizational orientation that distinguishes this release from standard commercial output, though the specific terms or structure of that arrangement are not detailed in the verified information available for this entry. The co-presentation credit shared between Needs and Green Vinyl suggests a collaborative framework behind the release, though the nature of that partnership is not elaborated in the source data.

The release title itself, *The Future Of Vinyl*, is a notable editorial choice for a compilation issued on the physical format it references. Whether that framing reflects a curatorial thesis, a response to broader industry conditions, or something else entirely is not something the available facts can answer. The genre spread — drawing across breakbeat, electro, and techno while grouped under the broader electronic umbrella — points to a release with some stylistic range, though any conclusions about how those genres are represented track by track would go beyond what is verified here.
