Newvelle Records released its Season Four Luxury Box Set in 2018 under catalog numbers NV019 through NV024, collecting six individual jazz albums pressed on 180-gram clear vinyl. The set brings together recordings from six distinct artists or ensembles, each occupying a dedicated LP within the package.

The first album, Noah Preminger's Preminger Plays Preminger, draws its program entirely from the film music of director Otto Preminger, with tracks referencing titles including Anatomy of a Murder, Laura, Bonjour Tristesse, The Cardinal, and Bunny Lake Is Missing, among others. The second LP, credited to Broken Shadows, presents ten tracks including interpretations of compositions associated with Ornette Coleman and Julius Hemphill, such as "Song For Che," "Una Muy Bonita," "Broken Shadows," and "Dogon A.D." The third record pairs Gregory Tardy with guitarist Bill Frisell on More Than Enough, a program that includes readings of pieces by Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, and Billy Strayhorn alongside original material. Billy Lester's From Scratch, the fourth album, presents a set of jazz standards including "Scrapple From The Apple," "Body And Soul," and "These Foolish Things." The fifth LP, Kenny Werner's Church On Mars, offers six tracks across two sides, including a cover of Gershwin's "Embraceable You" and Monk's "Think Of One." The final album, Hank Roberts's Congeries Of Ethereal Phenomena, closes the set with a program that includes the multi-part suite "Trio 7," running approximately twelve and a half minutes, alongside readings of Monk's "Evidence" and a medley pairing "Back Home In Indiana" with "Donna Lee."

Across all six records, the box set spans a wide range of jazz repertoire, from film theme reinterpretation to bebop standards to original composition, distributed across twelve sides of vinyl.
