Pounding Warehouse Recordings Vinyl Series 002

Listening notes

Pounding Warehouse Recordings returned in 2023 with the second installment of its vinyl series, catalogued as PWv002. Released under the label's ongoing numbered format, the record continues the sequence established by the first volume, presenting four tracks across its sides under the broad umbrella of acid, electronic, and techno.

The tracklist opens with "Warehouse" at position A1, followed by "Times Like These" at A2. The record's remaining two tracks, designated T1 and T2, are titled "MFWK" and "Detonation Procedure" respectively. No artist credits, track durations, or personnel information are currently documented against this release, leaving the contributors to each track unattributed in the available record.

The label name itself gestures toward a specific corner of underground dance culture, and the genre tags — acid, electronic, techno — situate the release within a lineage of floor-focused music that has long found a natural home on vinyl. Beyond that, the facts on hand do not permit further characterization of the music's content or intent.

What can be said plainly is that PWv002 exists as a physical vinyl release from 2023, issued on Pounding Warehouse Recordings with a catalog number that places it as the second entry in a deliberate series. For collectors and researchers tracking the label's output, this record marks a documented point in that chronology.
