Recoverworld Vinyl Sampler

Listening notes

Released in 2009 on Discover Records, the Recoverworld Vinyl Sampler (catalog number RECVS06) is a four-track electronic and trance release presented on a standard two-sided vinyl format. The record carries the Recoverworld imprint name and was issued as a sampler, a format commonly used by labels to promote music from their catalog or roster.

The A-side opens with "Mercury Retrograde (Original Mix)" and follows with a remix of the same track by Giuseppe Ottaviani. The presence of an Ottaviani remix is a notable point of documentation for this release, as his name appears credited on the label. The B-side contains two original mixes: "Point The Way" and "Vitality," rounding out the four-track program. No track durations are available in the verified source data.

The release falls under the electronic and trance genres as cataloged. Discover Records, the issuing label, is associated with trance music releases, and the Recoverworld branding reflects a subdivision or associated imprint operating within that sphere. Beyond what the catalog entry documents, no additional verified information about the contributing artists behind the original compositions, the recording circumstances, or the sampler's intended distribution context is available for this draft.

As a sampler pressing, RECVS06 occupies a functional position in the Recoverworld and Discover catalogs for the year 2009. Collectors and researchers documenting the trance vinyl output of that period may find it a useful reference point, though any claims about its scarcity, market value, or broader significance would require independent verification beyond what the available facts support.
