Recoverworld Vinyl Sampler

Listening notes

Released in 2008 on the Discover label, the Recoverworld Vinyl Sampler (catalog number RECVS01) is a four-track electronic and trance release presenting a cross-section of material under the Recoverworld imprint. As its title indicates, the record functions as a sampler, grouping original mixes alongside at least one remix across its two sides.

The A-side opens with "Life (Original Mix)" followed by a remix of the same track credited to Sean Tyas, offering a direct comparison between the source version and Tyas's interpretation. The B-side pairs "63B Clerkenwell Road (RIP) (Original Mix)" and "Sheikh, Rattle N Roll (Original Mix)," both presented in their original form. The parenthetical "RIP" appended to the Clerkenwell Road title is notable, though the verified facts on hand do not clarify its meaning. The Clerkenwell Road address itself references a location in London, though no further context is available here to confirm any specific significance.

Discover is a label associated with trance music, and the Recoverworld name appears in the title as a distinct imprint identity, though the relationship between the two is not elaborated upon in the available information. Track durations are not documented in the source data for this release.

As a sampler format, the record is positioned as a promotional or introductory vehicle for the Recoverworld catalog rather than a conventional artist album. Beyond the tracklist, label, catalog number, year, and format, further details regarding personnel, pressing specifications, or distribution have not been verified and are not addressed here.
