Re:Cuts Volume 2 (Black Vinyl Latin)

Listening notes

Re:Cuts Volume 2 (Black Vinyl Latin) is a three-track vinyl release issued in 2003 on Black Vinyl Records under catalog number BVR 12048. The record is catalogued under the genres of Deep House, Electronic, and Latin, a combination that positions it within a strand of dance music that drew on Latin musical traditions during the early 2000s.

The release presents its material across two sides. The A side carries two tracks: "Mi Destino (Migs Summer Delight Mix)" and "Otros Tiempos (Bossa House Mix)." The AA side contains a single track, "Especiale." Track durations are not documented in the available record data.

The title situates the release as part of a series, with the "Volume 2" designation indicating at minimum one prior entry in the Re:Cuts sequence on the same label. The parenthetical "Black Vinyl Latin" in the title suggests the label used this subtitle to distinguish the release as part of a Latin-themed strand within the Re:Cuts series, though the precise scope of that series is not confirmed by the available information.

The track titles themselves reflect the Latin orientation noted in the genre classification. "Mi Destino" translates from Spanish as "My Destiny," while "Otros Tiempos" translates as "Other Times." The Bossa House designation in that track's subtitle points toward an intersection of bossa nova-influenced elements with house music structures, consistent with the broader genre tags attached to the release. "Migs Summer Delight Mix" in the first track title indicates a remix credit, though no further personnel information is confirmed here.
