Slammin' Vinyl @ Brixton Academy 8th June 2002

Listening notes

Released in 2002 on the Slammin' Vinyl label, this cassette documents a live event held at Brixton Academy on 8th June 2002. Catalogued as SVBRIX001, it sits within the genres of drum n bass, electronic, and jungle, reflecting the sounds associated with the Slammin' Vinyl brand during that period.

The release takes the form of a multi-cassette set, with the tracklist running across twelve individually designated sides, labelled MC1 through MC12. Each side is listed as untitled, and no track durations are recorded. No personnel, set times, or individual artist credits are available from the documented information.

As a self-released item on the Slammin' Vinyl imprint under catalog number SVBRIX001, this appears to be a live recording package tied directly to the event itself, a format that was common practice among rave and club promoters of the era as a means of distributing event recordings. Whether the twelve cassette sides represent separate DJ or MC sets, or a continuous recording divided across tapes, cannot be confirmed from the available data.

Beyond the date, venue, label, format, and catalog number, the factual record for this release is sparse. No track identifications, artist listings, or additional release details have been verified. Researchers and collectors looking to attribute specific sets or confirm personnel will need to consult primary sources, physical sleeve notes, or other period documentation.

This draft contains only information drawn from the verified fact set provided. All claims regarding personnel, sound, rarity, and reception have been omitted as unverified. Refer for fact-checking before publication.
