Slammin' Vinyl - The Album

Listening notes

Released in 1995 on Rumour Records, *Slammin' Vinyl – The Album* (catalog number RAID 523) is a various artists compilation issued on vinyl. Spanning four sides across what the track layout confirms as a double LP format, the release brings together twelve tracks drawn from the breakbeat, electronic, happy hardcore, and hardcore genres — a combination that situates it squarely within the mid-nineties UK dance music landscape.

The tracklist reflects the compilation's range within those genres. Side A opens with "In Effect (Sy & Unknown Remix)" and continues through "Just Wanna Hold U Tight" and "Ruff!!!" Side B carries "Original Bad Boy (DJ Slam Remix)," "Ganja Man," and "Ruffer." Side C includes "Imperial March (Remix)," "Don't Need Your Love," and "Let's Do It," while Side D closes the record with "Rushin' On Pink Champagne," "F*ckin' Hardcore," and "Feel So Real (Remix)."

Several tracks are identified explicitly as remixes — the Sy and Unknown rework on A1, the DJ Slam Remix on B1, and remix versions on C1 and D3 — indicating that reworked material makes up a notable portion of the programme. The Slammin' Vinyl name itself suggests a tie to the Slammin' Vinyl events brand, which was active in the UK rave scene during this period, though the precise nature of that relationship is not confirmed by the available data.

No track durations are documented in the source information, and personnel credits are not available for this draft. Fact-checker should verify artist attributions for individual tracks, label details, and any confirmed connection between this release and the Slammin' Vinyl events organisation before publication.
