Various
Space : The Vinyl Frontier

Listening notes

Released in 1999 on DT&P Productions, *Space: The Vinyl Frontier* is a various artists compilation issued on CD. Despite its name invoking the vocabulary of vinyl culture, the release exists in CD format and carries no catalog number in available documentation.

The compilation draws from electronic music's broader landscape of the late 1990s, spanning genres listed as Electronic, Garage House, Techno, and Trance — a combination that reflects the cross-pollination common to independent dance music releases of that period.

The tracklist runs eleven tracks. Running times skew toward the longer side, with several tracks exceeding six minutes and three surpassing the eight-minute mark: "Stay In Love" at 7:48, "I Will Be Free" at 7:30, "Smoke Dis" at 8:27, and "E.F.F.E.C.T." at 8:09. These extended durations are consistent with the DJ-oriented formatting that characterized much electronic dance music released during the era. The shortest tracks are "Free Me," "Hands To Heaven," and "Bring Your Love To Me," each at 5:25 and 5:23 respectively.

Track titles including "Beachball," "Sonic Empire," and "Steal It And Deal It" suggest the range of tones across the compilation, though no further context about contributing artists or producers is available in the verified record.

With no catalog number assigned and release through the lesser-documented DT&P Productions label, this compilation represents the kind of independent electronic release that populated the margins of the late-1990s dance music market. Researchers and collectors seeking additional detail on personnel, individual track origins, or label background should consult primary sources, as this entry reflects only what has been confirmed.
