Tectonic Sound (Vinyl 4)

Listening notes

Tectonic Sound (Vinyl 4) is a 2025 release on the Bristol-based Tectonic label, issued under catalog number TECLP027.4. The release arrives as part of the label's ongoing Tectonic Sound series, with this installment representing the fourth volume in that sequence.

The record carries four tracks across two sides. The A-side opens with "Motion Light" before moving into "Rhassoul." The B-side follows with "Domino Effect" and closes on "This Is This Isn't." The release sits within the genres of bass music, dubstep, and electronic music, categories that have long been associated with Tectonic's output since the label's establishment.

As a various artists compilation, the record brings together multiple contributors under a single release, a format the Tectonic Sound series appears designed to accommodate. The catalog numbering — TECLP027.4 — positions this record as a component of a larger release structure, suggesting the series is issued across multiple vinyl volumes rather than as a single package.

Tectonic is a label with a documented history in bass-oriented electronic music, and this release extends that catalog into 2025. Beyond the tracklisting, format, and genre classification, additional details including personnel, track durations, and other production information are not confirmed in the available data and have been omitted here accordingly.
