The Greatest Switch Vinyl 1

Listening notes

Released in 2021 on the Studio Brussel label under catalog number 541974, The Greatest Switch Vinyl 1 is a various artists compilation issued on vinyl. The release spans a double LP format across four sides, accommodating nine tracks that collectively run a substantial length.

The compilation draws from a range of electronic music genres, including deep house, drum n bass, progressive house, techno, and electronic music more broadly. This breadth of style is reflected in the tracklist itself, which moves between pieces of noticeably different running times and, by implication, different rhythmic and atmospheric intentions.

Side A opens with "Breathe" at 5:36, followed by the longer "Right On!" at 8:35. Side B carries "Ringo" at 6:50 and "Opa" at 7:48. Side C presents "Faxing Berlin" at 8:37, the longest individual track on the record, paired with "Glue" at 4:30. Side D closes the release with three tracks: "Reaching Out" at 5:04, "Iron Heart" at 5:55, and "Gosh" at 4:51.

The title references Studio Brussel, the Belgian public broadcaster known for its music programming, suggesting the compilation may be connected to that platform's output, though the nature of that connection is not elaborated in the available information.

The inclusion of tracks associated with recognizable titles within the electronic canon — "Faxing Berlin" and "Glue" among them — will be of potential interest to collectors and listeners familiar with those works, though individual artist credits are not confirmed here and should be verified before publication.

This draft requires fact-checker review before publication. Artist attributions, personnel, and any label context beyond what is listed above remain unverified.
