Various
The Vinyl Disc

Listening notes

Released in 2007 on the Optimal Media Production label, The Vinyl Disc is a various artists compilation issued in a hybrid format. The release carries no catalog number in available documentation.

The hybrid format divides the release into two distinct sides. The vinyl side contains a single track, a radio version of "Strings Of Life." The CD side expands the program considerably, presenting five tracks across roughly 23 minutes of documented running time: "Behold These Days" at 3:57, "Let Me In" at 3:45, "Everything" at 4:08, "Dark Soldier" at 7:16, and "Move Me" at 3:50. Individual track durations for the vinyl side are not documented in available sources.

The release is catalogued under three genres: Electronic, Jazz, and Progressive House. How those genres are distributed across the tracklist is not confirmed by available data.

The hybrid format itself is the most structurally notable aspect of this release as documented. By combining a playable vinyl side with a CD side within a single physical object, the release occupies an unusual position in format history. Optimal Media Production, a German pressing and manufacturing facility, was among the producers with the technical capacity to produce hybrid discs of this kind during the period.

Beyond the structural and tracklist details described above, available documentation does not support claims regarding personnel, recording origins, pressing characteristics, collector value, or the release's reception. Researchers and collectors seeking further detail on individual track contributors or the specific circumstances of the release's production would need to consult primary sources or the label directly.

This is an unreviewed draft. All details require verification against physical copies and authoritative discographic sources before publication.
